Swing Plane is the plane of movement of the golf club during the swing.
There are 3 types of Swing Planes:
- Shoulder plane
- Elbow plane
- Shaft plane
It is like an inclined plane starting from the golf ball up to the shoulder, elbow and along the shaft of the golf club.
If the golf club moves along this plane consistently, golfer would hit the ball more accurately and consistently.
📐 How we swing according to the Swing Plane.
- Correct swing plane (On Plane)
- The clubface moves along the set plane.
- Hitting the ball straight and controlling the ball well
- Swing plane too low (Too Flat)
- Swing around too much Or put the club back too much.
- It makes the ball hook (Hook) or push (Push) to the right.
- Swing plane is too steep (Too Upright / Over the Top)
- Put the club down from outside the plane too much
- It makes the call slice (Slice) or pull (Pull) to the left
Swing plane is a very important foundation to start or practice to make us hit consistently because Swing Plane has a direct impact on our Club Path.
