Driver is an important golf club because it is one of the equipment that we use very often.
Except Par 3 hole, we almost have to start playing each hole with this club. Therefore, it is very important to hit well in order to play the next shot more easily and get a good score.
So what should we do??? In order to get good results, which is actually very important, try following this checklist.
- The set up of Driver will be different from other clubs. Stand slightly wider than usual, tilt the body and shoulders to the right, the position of the golf ball must be in a plane close to the left heel.
- Backswing will feel wider and flatter than other equipment (due to the length of the club as well).
- The angle of impact and the lowest point of the club head must be at the right angle. The angle of impact should be an upward angle. The club head when hits the golf ball is like an angle of an airplane that takes off. Consequently, the lowest point of the club head will be before hitting the golf ball.
- The right club path and face angle in order to control the direction of the golf ball.
- Practice applying the right force for a longer distance.
From my past experience, I can tell you that if you have a good foundation, hitting Driver well and far is not too difficult.
